Standing Firm in Power and Pride.
A month to honour heritage, culture, and community
Welcome to Croydon’s Black History Month 2025 Events Directory!
Last October, Croydon came together to celebrate Black History Month under the theme “Reclaiming Narratives.” Through inspiring talks, vibrant performances, exhibitions, and community activities, we reflected on the past while focusing on building a stronger, fairer future.
This October, Croydon proudly celebrates Black History Month once again with a diverse array of events honouring the culture, history, and achievements of the Black community. From inspiring talks and vibrant performances to art exhibitions, workshops, and family-friendly activities, there’s something for everyone.
This year’s theme, “Standing Firm in Power and Pride,” reflects the strength, resilience, and unity of the Black community. It is a reminder to celebrate heritage while embracing the future with confidence and pride.
Whether you’re looking to learn, reflect, or simply enjoy, this directory will guide you to the best events happening across Croydon throughout Black History Month. Explore, engage, and be inspired!
