
YVONNE WALSH
Yvonne is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and has over 35 years’ experience in the field of Human Resources(HR). During that time, she has held a number of management roles up to Director level within a range of organisations including the charity sector, education, local government and the National Health Service. Her experience has encompassed managing a spectrum of strategic and operational HR activities. Yvonne has a strong commitment to equality and inclusion and has played a pivotal role in assisting several of her former employers gain organisation wide equality accreditations. She joined the Board of Trustees at the BME Forum in December 2021 and chairs the Trustees’ HR and Policy Sub Group.
Operating as a Management Consultant, Yvonne’s current portfolio includes undertaking assignments in both the public and commercial sectors. She has valuable experience in fitness to practise regulation sitting as both as Chair and Lay Panellist with a number of regulators. She also holds a non-judicial role with the Employment Tribunal Service.
Yvonne maintains a number of professional memberships including Vice Chair of the CIPD, South London Branch supporting HR professionals primarily in the Croydon surrounds.
Yvonne grew up in the Croydon area and, after university, returned as a resident over twenty five years ago. During her career Yvonne has also undertaken various local voluntary activities including working with the charity, Victim Support and supporting students and staff through mentoring and coaching programmes. Most recently Yvonne has taken up the role of a CIPD Enterprise Advisor supporting young people in her local community to develop their employability skills and career choices.
Yvonne is a qualified workplace mediator and has in her career successfully completed assignments concerning conflict resolution in the workplace. She has experience as a part time Visiting Lecturer teaching HR professional practice and is committed to improving social inclusion for the community as well as raising standards in both the HR profession and professional regulation.
